The course provides a comprehensive insight into the nanoworld, nanotechnology and nanostructures from the viewpoint of the quantum nature, technology and structure. Definition and introduction; micro - and nanostructures; quantum nature of nanoworld; Schrödinger equation; quantum states and energies; quantum dots, quantum trajectories, nanolayers; self-organized nanostructures; fullerens, nanotubes; nanofibers; nanopowders; silicon technology; horizontal and vertical structures formation, masking, photolithographic; methods of metallic and dielectric layers deposition; optical and roentgen lithography; electron lithography; AFM - Atomic Force Microscope; nanoassembly due to AFM.
