The course focuses both on the general history and development, perception, limitations and possibilities, and basic principles of the concept and creation of public spaces, including participation and management, and on specific phenomena associated with and influencing public spaces. The course also focuses on specific public spaces, such as public spaces in rural settlements or in a historical context. The course will also present a critical analysis of existing public spaces, including current trends in the creation of public spaces. The course also includes examples of good practice, including familiarizing students with the anatomy of a contract for the creation of public spaces.

The lecture course is designed as a series of lectures that present different (thematic, personal) perspectives on the topic of public spaces. In the case of a smaller number of students, the course may be conducted in the form of seminars.
