Synopsis:

Physical measurements designed to master the operation of devices used in physics and technology dealing with experiments at the quantum level. Experiments are chosen such that the student will become accostumed with demanding parts of experimental physics and demonstrate quantum effects.

1. Normal and anomalous Zeeman effect

2. Properties of gamma rays – Compton’s scattering, spectroscopy and X-ray analysis of a material

3. Electron spin and nuclear magnetic resonance

4. Quantum erasure

5. Double-slit experiment and Heisenberg’s uncertainty relations

6. Measurement of the speed of light
