Pharmacokinetics of drugs into the eye, application of drugs, the therapeutic effect and side effects. The most commonly used drugs.
- Requirements:

Passed a credit test. Questions will be composed only of the lecture materials.
- Syllabus of lectures:

1. Pharmacokinetics of substances into the eye.
2. Methods of administrating eye medication.
3. Parasympathomimetics and parasympatholytics, sympathomimetics and sympatholytics.
4. Prostaglandins, carbonic anhydrase blockers, osmotic agents.
5. Antiseptics, antibacterial agents, antibiotics, antiviral, antifungal, antiamoebic pharmaceuticals.
6. Corticosteroids and NSAIDs.
7. Antiallergics, sympathomimetics, antihistamines, mast cell stabilizing drugs.
8. Local anesthetics, drugs used for diagnostic purposes, mydriatics and cycloplegics.
9-10. Drugs used in the absence of tears, drugs with epithelial, metabolic or antiproliferative activity.
11-12. Drugs used in the absence of tears, drugs with epithelial, metabolic or antiproliferative activity.
13. Side effects of drugs on the eye.
