Synopsis:

The aim of this course is to develop and improve communication skills related to the field of Optics and Optometry. Emphasis is placed on presentation and defence skills, both in oral and written form. The classes focus on acquiring specialised vocabulary, understanding professional texts, and presenting ones own opinions.

The course covers professional topics such as refractive errors of the eye, methods of correction, visual aids, visual development, and types of vision examinations. Special emphasis is also placed on patient communication, including explaining individual visual defects and examination procedures, describing options for subsequent correction, and providing instructions for the use of visual aids.atient.
