Synopsis:

The course is focused on principles of modelling, design and applications of modern methods used in diagnostics and vision correction, especially on applications of new optoelectronic elements and digital technologies.

Requirements:
Syllabus of lectures:

1.Analysis and modelling od aberrations of optical system of the human eye. Influence of eye aberrations on retinal image and vision quality.

2.Possibilities of complex analysis of properties of cornea and anterior segment of the human eye.

3.Modern technologies of retina diagnostics and their trends of development.

4.Possibilities of incorporating aberrations and parameters of the human eye in designs of vision correction tools and in refractive surgery.

5.Liquid crystals, optoelectronic displays, aspheric and diffractive optics in vision science.

6.Modern possibilities of presbyopia correction.

7.Adaptive and active optical elements and systems in vision science.

8.Analysis of factors of contact lens discomfort.

9.Modern displays and imaging systems for diagnostics and vision correction.

10.Smart lenses and technologies for vision science.
