Synopsis:

The course content is the examination as given by the study plan.

Final examination 04AP3KK covers syllabi of all three courses in communication skills. It is usually oral, but a written test may be administered. Examination requirements are similar to those of state examination. Student will be able to engage in communication and discussion on a given topic, using appropriate vocabulary and grammar structures.

Requirements:

The exam covers the material taught in courses 04APK104APK3. It consists of a written and an oral part. A student may proceed to the oral part of the exam only after successfully passing the written part.

Topics: The exam will cover the topics from 04APK1-04APK3 (family, home, food, shopping, clothes, communication, work and leisure, town and country, travel, farming, climate, nature, the human body, health, sport, media, culture, education, holidays, modern society)

Written part (max. 100 min.)

The written part will either be a formal essay on one of the topics listed above or a cover letter. There is also a brief listening section of the test that will test the students' ability to understand general conversation topics.

Oral part (2030 min.)

Students will be expected to discuss several of the topics above in detail. They are required to answer questions related to the topics and give appropriate detail. They will also need to demonstrate knowledge of relevant vocabulary related to the selected topic(s), as well as speak clearly and correctly.

Study Objective:

To test the vocabulary knowledge and communication skills given by the syllabus. To test how well student is prepared to use spoken English in everyday situations.
