- Synopsis:
-
Student teams in the roles of business managers define key input parameters (production volume, stock size, product prices, number of employees, etc.) based on detailed analysis of business data by functional areas. The success of their decisions in competition with other student teams is evaluated through a sophisticated simulation model.
In the first part of the semestr the course summarizes the main key information related to tools and methods in the strategic and tactical level of business management and introduces students to the information system used for the managerial simulation and its parts. The main part of the semester is devoted directly to the simulation of mutual competition of individual teams. Students at seminars with the assistance of a lecturer perform analyzes of company data generated by the system and on the basis of them propose values of individual input parameters. The course takes place in interconnected four-hour blocks.
