Synopsis:

An overview of electrical systems of road vehicles with an explanation of the basic principles for understanding their function, applications and diagnostics. Perspective alternative electric vehicle drives. Systems for increasing passenger safety and vehicle emissions reduction.

Requirements:
Syllabus of lectures:

•Car electric power source systems, alternator control, DC / DC converters.

•Lead acid accumulators, NiMH, Lithium-Ion.Supercapacitors. Fuel cells.

•Cranking systems, seriál DC motors, alternator/ starter.

•Spark ignition engine ignition systems.

•Engine value sensing and processing in car motormanagement systems.

•Electromagnetic and piezolectric actuators vehicle aggregates

•Vehicle accessiries electric drives, DC brushless motors, stepper motors.

•Permanent magnets synchronous motors, reluctans motors.

•Power electronics circuits for supply electric motors, inverter control methods

•Control systems for petrol and diesel engines

•Chassis management systems. Car restraint systems

•Vehicle lighting system, light sources, adaptive lighting systems.

•Diagnostics of vehicle systems, CAN, LIN communication lines, on board diagnostics
