The goal is to acquire knowledge on mathematical description of transport and transformation processes in natural and technical systems and their modelling in individual parts of the urban drainage system as well as in the integrated system consisting of the sewer system, wastewater treatment plant and river.
First, basics of the mathematical description of transport and transformation processes in natural and technical systems will be explained. Then introduction of the most common models of water quality modelling in the sewer system, wastewater treatment plant and river will follow. The last part will be active work with software enabling simulation of the integrated urban drainage system and modelling of different scenarios, measures and their consequences.
