Substance structure. Description of the microworld at quantum mechanical level. Interactions between atoms and molecules.

Chemical bonding. Phases. Phase equilibrium and phase transitions. Phase diagrams.

Physicochemical properties of solids and fluids.

Surfaces. Adsorption, adhesion, wettability. Measurement of surface tension/energy.

Hydrophobicity, hydrophility.

Transport processes. Diffusion, heat conductivity. Fundamentals of hydrodynamics.

Requirements:

Required prerequisities at the level of bachelor studies.

Fundamentals of physical chemistry with subsequent particular requirements of PhD students.
