Synopsis:

The discipline provides a brief overview of basic principles of planning and performing research project including basic statistics as well as basic principles of biomedical writing in English.

Requirements:

The subjects are concluded by an oral examination. The student must elaborate a paper on a given topic together with the exam in case of the controlled self-study. Assessment will be based on active participation in the discussion exercises, reports of group work and presentation of the research protocol conducted during the workshop.

1.Workshop in planning and presentation of biomedical studies in groups: hypothesis, study design, data collection (4 hours)

2.Workshop in planning and presentation of biomedical studies in groups: statistical methods, data presentation, expected results, final protocol presentation (4 hours)
