Synopsis:

Learning outcomes of the course unit the subject introduces basic known additive technologies and introduces students to the problems connected with additive technologies.

Development of additive technologies, used principles of production

SLA - Stereolithography - materials, utilization, technological limitations

FDM - Fused Deposition Modeling - materials, utilization, technological limitations

SLS - Selective Laser Sintering - Materials, Usage, Technology Limitations

DMLS - Direct Metal Laser Sintering - Materials, Usage, Technological Restrictions

Design and Technology Rules for Laser Metal Sintering

WAAM technology using conventional and special surfacing methods

Creation of „self-supporting“ 3D welds

Hybrid production technology

Additive production using non-traditional materials - bio ink, polymer concrete, etc.

Simulation tools and their use in AM

Topological optimization of parts

Development directions in AM

Syllabus of tutorials:

Creating a part model.

Choice of additive tecdhnology.

Application of selected additive technology to the part model.

Additive technology optimization.

Preparing to use additive technology.

Implementation of selected additive technology.

Study Objective:

The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the principles and technological possibilities of additive technologies.
