Synopsis:

Theoretical geodesy 1 introduces the issue of creating positional, height and gravity geodetic foundations, definition and implementation of geodetic reference systems - worldwide and for the Czech Republic. It provides information about their origin and development, including the necessary theoretical basis of higher geodesy.

1. Coordinate systems and transformations between them

2. Spherical trigonometry

3. Basics of advanced geodesy, 1st and 2nd geodetic problems

4. Introduction to the theory of heights

5. Geodetic networks

6. Classic measurements in geodetic networks

7. Principles of alignment of geodetic networks

8. Classical geodetic positioning systems on the territory of the Czech Republic

9. Height and gravity geodetic foundations

10. Earth orientation parameters

11. Genesis of the ICRS, ITRS and ETRF systems

12. Introduction of ETRS89 in the Czech Republic, working system S-JTSK95

13. CZEPOS, creation of S-JTSK05, transformation of coordinates between ETRS and S-JTSK

Syllabus of tutorials:

1. Reference sphere, orthodrome, rhombus

2. The first and second geodetic problem on the ellipsoid

3. Geodetic curve in conformal display

4. Helmert spatial transformation

Study Objective:

Get to know the basics of advanced geodesy, positional, height and gravity geodetic bases, reference geodetic systems, the way they are created, their development and quality.
