The aim of the course is to introduce students to the work of urban planners and spatial planners when designing public infrastructure concepts.
- Requirements:
-
Credit requirements: preparation of a public space passport including a drawing of the current state, a description of all public infrastructure systems and photo documentation. At least 6 active consultations and 2 presentations in front of colleagues.
Exam requirements: credit + test + oral exam.
- Syllabus of lectures:

1. Introduction to the study of the subject, definition of public infrastructure, public infrastructure in spatial planning activities - methods of obtaining and processing ÚPP (territorial studies, spatial analytical documents)
2. Public infrastructure in spatial planning activities - methods of obtaining and processing ÚPD (principles of spatial development, spatial plan, regulatory plan), territorial decision, building documentation
3. Transport infrastructure I. - definition, division, basic limits and parameters of land transport, types of local transport and possible solutions, traffic at rest
4. Transport infrastructure II. - pedestrian and bicycle transport, rail transport, air transport, water transport
5. Technical infrastructure in urban planning and territorial planning, coordination of TI solutions, combined routes of technical equipment of the territory
6. Technical infrastructure I. - principles of creating concepts of individual systems in urban planning and spatial planning - water supply, sewage
7. Technical infrastructure I. - principles of creating concepts of individual systems in urban planning and spatial planning - waste management, energy systems
8. Technical infrastructure III. - principles of creating concepts of individual systems in urban planning and spatial planning - electronic communication, product pipelines, anti-flood measures
9. Civic amenities I. - definition, types, meaning in the structure of the settlement
10. Civic amenities II. - urban planning requirements for individual types of public transport
11. Public spaces I. - definition, meaning of public space (VP), VP equipment, limits and requirements, residential greenery, urban furniture
12. Public spaces II. - principles of solution and coordination
13. Information systems of public administration, GIS and public infrastructure

2. Approval of the choice of public space. Map materials.
3. Drawing of broader relationships.
4. Presentation of the planned public space - basic data.
5. Transport infrastructure - passportization.
6. Technical infrastructure - passporting.
7. Green infrastructure - passportization.
8. Civic equipment - passporting.
9. Quality of public space - SWOT analysis.
10. Text part - formulation of the content of the work.
11. Project consultation.
12. Presentation of the evaluation of the state of the area under consideration.
13. Submission of the project.
