The basics of designing steel, steel-concrete and wooden load-bearing structures according to applicable standards, including the determination of load effects, configuration differences due to the specific properties of individual materials.
- Requirements:

Fundamentals of statics and theoretical mechanics. The teaching follows the introductory professional subjects of the Civil Engineering program (Construction Mechanics, Flexibility and Strength, Building Materials, Earth Structures).

1. History, unique buildings, steel production.
2. Structure and properties of steel, types of steel.
3. Production and assembly, design OK.
4. Pulled and pushed rods, rod stability.
5. Bent beams.
6. Truss beams, combination of stresses.
7. Screwed joints.
8. Welded joints.
9. Coupled steel-concrete beams.
10. OK protection against corrosion and against fire.
11. Wood, material properties.
12. Designing wooden structures, structures made of wood.
13. Videos about the production and behavior of structures, reserve.
