Synopsis:

1. Rural buildings in the regions of Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia.

2. Issues of foundation structures.

3. The issue of vertical structures.

4. Horizontal structures.

5. Supporting structures of roofs.

6. Vaults, bridges, footbridges.

Attention is focused on the above-mentioned topics from the point of view of the causes of malfunctions, their diagnosis, and possible ways of carrying out repairs.

Requirements:

No restrictions are imposed. Basic knowledge of mechanics or specialized subjects is recommended. However, it is not a condition to know them.

Study Objective:

To acquaint students with the problem of structural failures of historical buildings presented on rural buildings. Acquaintance with solution options - reconstruction of the supporting structures of such buildings from the point of view of mechanics.
