History of timber-based structures. Possibilities of use timber and wood-based materials in building industry. Recommended structural systems and details. Protection of timber-based structures.

Study Objective:

To teach about the development of materials on wooden basis, and about the properties of these materials, the basic principals to design structural members and systems at limit state design
