Synopsis:

Study aim of the course is focused on options and methods of biomass utilization for power and heat generation. Basic topics are:

?Biomass like a fuel, biomass preparation before combustion, biomass combustion, facilities for biomass combustion.

?Biomass conversion to gaseous fuels ? thermal gasification, biogas production.

?Biomass conversion to liquid fuels ? fast pyrolysis, methanol and ethanol production.

?Environmental impacts of biomass energy utilization.

Topics will be modified according to the subject of thesis.
