Synopsis:

In this course the student is familiar with the goals of the course, which focuses on the systematic

increasing of enterprise productivity, achieved through rational organizational structure. The course

focuses on the elimination of all kinds of wastes from especially the stages of development and

defining processes. Is looking for a screening of different options to achieve customer needs with less

time consumption, lower material requirements and overall capital cost saving. Subject uses

modelling to the implementation of the principles of lean thinking into product realization processes,

thereby achieving a competitive advantage.

Requirements:

Submission of solved problem tasks and its interpretation. Examination of the following topics:

3. Toyota Production System

4. LEAN Manufacturing

5. Six Sigma

6. FPY (First Pass Yield)

7. KAIZEN

8. OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)

9. SMED (Single-Minute Exchange of Dies)

10. TPM (Total Productive Maintenance)

11. Kanban

12. 5S

13. Cause-and-Effect

Syllabus of lectures:

(1) Objective, process management, current trends

(2) The business approach to productivity, methodological foundations of the modern organization of

production

(3) Spatial and temporal organization of production processes

(4) Normative base and organization of the production system in keeping with New-REFA

(5) Scheduling model machine-building production process

(6) The Progressive methods of operative management of production processes

(7) The organization of processes and working hours, division of labour and cooperation

(8) Organization and preparation of production

(9) The organization and management of service delivery processes and production

(10) The Organization of the micro and macro logistics processes

(11) Feasibility engineering organization of the production process

(12) Projects of improvement of production organizational structures

(13) Quality of the organization of engineering production.

Syllabus of tutorials:

(1) Planning for operations and capacity

(2) Calculations sequential and parallel workflows

(3) Calculations of the combined workflow

(4) Chronometry a snapshot workday applications

(5) The application of different forms of labour in production

(6) Calculations and analysis of labour productivity

(7) Method of torque observation

(8) The methods for determining normative time consumption

(9) Methods motion studies workflows

(10) Per capita movements MTM, REFA

(11) Sankey´s diagram, triangular method

(12) Consideration of manufacturing layouts

(13) Location evaluation methods.

Study Objective:

The aim of the course is to teach students to apply advanced quantitative methods for obtaining

highly productive organizational structures progressive production. Students will further improve in

systems analysis and organizational solutions for open systems, which consist of independent,

proactive evolving elements - fractals whose structure is repeated and that pursuing a common

objective.
