An optional subject for the specialization of Environmental Engineering, providing basic information about irrigation and irrigation systems. Extension for those interested in modern irrigation issues or in the preparation of a bachelor's thesis on irrigation. Teaching takes place mainly in the field, on excursions or through discussions at lectures by practitioners. The subject is a suitable complement to practical knowledge and the possibility of cooperation with students from the field of Water Management and Water Construction.

1. Introductory seminar, organization, conditions.
2. Types of irrigation systems, quantities, legislation.
3. The importance of irrigation systems in conditions of climate change.
4. Irrigation systems in cities as support for Blue-Green infrastructure elements (green roofs, green walls, facade root treatment plants, etc.)
5. Modern irrigation systems in the countryside and in agriculture (elements of micro-irrigation, pivot irrigation machines, golf irrigation systems).
6. Experience from the world, trends for the future.
