Synopsis:

Decision making in water and environmental management - decision (individual and group decision), operational games

Requirements:

Submission of tasks from exercises used to understand the content of the lectures.

Syllabus of lectures:

* Introduction to decision-making and the decision-making process - individual decision-making, criteria

* Group decision-making - management, motivation, communication

* Decision-making for risks and uncertainties - Risk Management

* Water footprint - meaning and methods of calculation

* Decision-making in real landscape conditions - preferences, incentives, subsidies

* Decision-making within the landscape under conditions of positive or negative motivation (preferences vs restrictions)

* Multi-criteria evaluation - use, procedure, significance of alternative solutions

* Environmental impact assessment (EIA) - law, meaning, application

* Ecological assessment of buildings - BREEAM certification.

* Ecological evaluation - meaning, ecolabel, ISO certification

* IPPC - Integrated Pollution Prevention

* Game theory, operational games and their use

* Decision support systems and Expert decision systems

Syllabus of tutorials:

The exercises follow the lectures - they are used for practical verification and practice of the discussed material.
