1.Fundamental types and characteristics of condensed matter.
2. Chemical bonding between atoms in condensed matter.
3. Microscopic and macroscopic structure of crystalline solids.
4. Defects in crystalline solids. Amorphous solids. Liquid crystals.
5. Mechanical properties ? elastic and plastic deformation of condensed matter.
6. Vibrations of atoms in crystalline lattices. Acoustic and optical modes of waves in solids.
7. Specific heat capacity, thermal expansion and heat conduction in condensed matter.
8. Electronic band structure of solids.
