Synopsis:

Master's Creation Studio 2 is a pre-diploma project. The assignment is usually the solution of a wider area of development areas in urban planning contexts. A comprehensive urban-architectural study is prepared for the selected area.

Requirements:

An architectural-urban study of a specific location with solutions for the ground floor, traffic, greenery and other aspects necessary for the creation of a high-quality public space. The study must contain an analytical part, which is the starting point for finding the concept of the final solution.

Syllabus of tutorials:

1. Preparatory and analytical phase.

2. Analysis of the specified territory and all specifics affecting the design.

3. Formulation of the concept, processing of working models.

4. Conceptual models, solution variants.

5. Conceptual models, solution variants.

6. Concrete urban design based on a conceptual model, with all necessary design attributes.

7. Individual studio presentation of projects in progress - site analysis, concept of urban, architectural and technical solutions.

8. Elaboration of urban and architectural design – individual and group consultations.

9. Development of urban and architectural design – individual and group consultations.

10. Development of urban and architectural design – individual and group consultations.

11. Individual studio presentation of projects.

12. Final consultation of the proposal, in terms of content and graphics.

13. Final consultation of the proposal, in terms of content and graphics.

Study Objective:

The aim of the work is to master the design of a set of objects and related public spaces in the context of the specified environment.

Study materials:

Relevant legislation - ČSN standards, decrees (in particular, Decree No. 501/2006 Coll. on general requirements for land use, Decree No. 268/2009 Coll., on technical requirements for buildings, Regulation No. 10/2016 (Prague building regulations ), Decree No. 499/2006 Coll. on Building Documentation), laws (in particular Act No. 183/2006 Coll. Act on Spatial Planning and Building Regulations).

Periodical about current architecture.

Literature and archival materials according to the specified topic.
