Synopsis:

Master's Studio 2 is an urban planning project. The assignment is usually to solve a wider area of development areas in an urban planning context. A comprehensive urban planning and architectural study has been prepared for the selected area.

Requirements:

Requirements for obtaining a graded credit:

Active participation in studio classes

Max. three excused absences per semester.

Individual consultations outside of the exercises do not replace mandatory attendance at classes.

Participation in inspection dates and presentations set by the head of the studio.

Completion of the assignment, which is an architectural-urban study of a specific location with a solution for the parterre, transport, greenery and other aspects necessary for creating a high-quality public space. The study must contain an analytical part, which is the starting point for finding the concept of the final solution.

Submission of the work within the prescribed deadline and format, to the extent set by the head of the studio.

1. Preparatory and analytical phase.

2. Analysis of the specified territory and all specifics affecting the design.

3. Formulation of the concept, processing of working models.

4. Conceptual models, solution variants.

5. Conceptual models, solution variants.

6. Concrete urban design based on a conceptual model, with all necessary design attributes.

7. Individual studio presentation of projects in progress - site analysis, concept of urban, architectural and technical solutions.

8. Elaboration of urban and architectural design individual and group consultations.

9. Development of urban and architectural design individual and group consultations.

10. Development of urban and architectural design individual and group consultations.

11. Individual studio presentation of projects.

12. Final consultation of the proposal, in terms of content and graphics.

13. Final consultation of the proposal, in terms of content and graphics.

Study Objective:

The aim of the work is to master the design of a set of objects and related public spaces in the context of the specified environment.

Study materials:

Relevant legislation - ČSN standards, decrees

Periodical about current architecture.

Literature and archival materials according to the specified topic.
