The subject Introduction to professional practice aims to introduce students to the practical activities of the work of an architect and related performances. Above all, this is about other design work and associated services, connected with the legislative process, the course of construction management and the implementation of the building.
- Requirements:

Course requirements Introduction to professional practice: participation in exercises and handing in a term paper on a given topic (granting credit). Participation in excursions (min. 3 participations), . Oral exam
- Syllabus of lectures:

1. Introduction, ethics of the profession.
2. Pre-project preparation.
3. Construction documentation.
4. Discussion and course of proceedings.
5. Developer and architect.
6. Prague building regulations.
7. Legislation in case of intervention in an immovable cultural monument.
8. Public areas.
9. Almost zero and passive buildings.
10. Project team.
11. Architectural office.
12. Professional chambers.
13. Current topic of architecture and urban planning.
- Syllabus of tutorials:

1st week - Getting to know the subject of ÚPP, assigning a semester paper
2.-5. week - Consultation of the semester work and discussion of the topic of the lectures, excursion
6.-.10. week - Presentation of semester work, discussion, excursion
11th-13th week - Consultation of semester work (submission) and discussion of the topic of the lectures, excursion
- Study Objective:

The aim of the study is to give students practical insights from practice (colleagues from practice are also used as lecturers for this purpose). Above all, it concerns the legislative framework and the course of construction management, economic and ecological aspects. Familiarity with the ethical side of architectural practice is also an integral part.

Applicable legislation - ČSN standards, decrees (in particular, Decree No. 501/2006 Coll. on general requirements for land use, Decree No. 268/2009 Coll., on technical requirements for buildings, Regulation No. 10/2016 (Prague building regulations ), Decree No. 499/2006 Coll. on Building Documentation), laws (in particular Act No. 183/2006 Coll. Act on Spatial Planning and Building Regulations).
