- Lecturer:
- Tomáš Vlach
- Tutor:
- Eva Burgetová, Josef Novák, Tomáš Vlach
- Supervisor:
- Department of Architectural Engineering
- Synopsis:
-
The subject of the course is closer focus on the problematic and difficult part of the construction. In the first half of the semester general project requirements, then focus on construction details, detailed analysis from the point of view of building physics - conducted heat and humidity, detailed static action of selected construction detail, numerical modeling, according to the student's preferences and focus. By prior arrangement, it is also possible to experimentally verify selected material or construction properties and combine theoretical work with laboratory work. It is possible especially when student is focused on new types of materials and applications.
- Requirements:
-
Compulsory attendance in class, maximum 3 excused absences.
Continuous correction of work and checking during the course.
Structural design project 3 - 124SDP3
Erasmus students must demonstrate knowledge of the above subjects by passing an entrance test.
- Syllabus of lectures:
-
This course does not have lectures.
- Syllabus of tutorials:
-
1. Choice of suitable building (architectural study, papers and figures presented in civil engineering and architectural journals etc.), analysis of building and boundary conditions, identification of problematic details. Identification of interesting and problematic part of the building.
2. - 6. Working basic design drawings, calculations, and basic reports for each specialization (Building Structures, Statics, Building Services, Geotechnics), continuous optimalization of load-bearing structure, selection of most interesting and problematic construction details.
7. – 12. Closer focus on the problematic and difficult part of the construction. Construction details, detailed analysis from the point of view of building physics - conducted heat and humidity, detailed static action of selected construction detail, numerical modeling also according to the student's preferences. Laboratory work and experimental verification.
13. – 14. Consultations, project finalization, submission.
- Study Objective:
-
By completing the Structural Design project 4, the student acquires a comprehensive approach to the advanced building construction and new modern materials in accordance with current knowledge and regulations and the ability to perceive the issue of building's design like mutual material and construction interaction.
