The subject is focused on the complex design of load-bearing structures, their interaction with the surrounding environment.

In the first part of the subject, the attention is focused on the issue of the mutual interaction of load-bearing structures and the negative interactions between load-bearing and non-load-bearing systems. The effects of non-force loads, temperature and volume changes, properties of structural materials are discussed.

The second part of the subject is focused on the design of load-bearing structures with regard to the effects of wind, the effects of non-rigid support of walkable structures and the issue of expansion of non-load-bearing structures. The last part is devoted to the specific action of water and the protection of the building from its effects.



Syllabus of lectures:

1. Deformation and strength properties of structures. Interaction of constructions. Building system model.

2. Interaction of load-bearing and non-load-bearing structures - basic principles

3. Structural design considering the interactions of load-bearing and non-load-bearing structures.

4. Temperature and volume changes of building structures. Rheological properties of structures.

5. Measures to eliminate the effects of volume changes

6. Flexibly supported structures subjected to bending stress (floor structures...)

7. Structurally static design of floor structures

8. Wind loading of non-bearing structures.

9. Structurally static design of building enclosure walls with regard to the effects of wind

10. Structurally static design of roofs with regard to the effects of wind

11. Effects of water on building structures

12. Structural design with regard to the effects of water

13. Reserve

1. Structural-static design of the building structure with regard to the interactions of load-bearing and non-load-bearing structures.

10. Structural-static design of packaging structures with regard to the effects of wind.

Study Objective:

Understand the principles of static action and design of non-load-bearing structures with regard to their interactions with the surrounding environment and building subsystems.

Learn to apply theoretical knowledge from previous subjects in the design of load-bearing, packaging and dividing structures. Understand the integrated design, structural-static and building-physical requirements placed on these structures.
