Synopsis:

Basic terminology and classification of building structures, construction processes and execution phases of buildings, development of construction within the history of architecture, functional and technical requirements of buildings, sustainable development aspects within built environment. Building structure systems, vertical, horizontal and overhanging load-bearing structures.
