Synopsis:

Basic course of financial management, specifically focused on management in the construction sector. Emphasis is placed on methods of financing and accounting at enterprise, division and project level. Explanation of the interconnection of financial management and the realization of construction contracts in the wider framework of standard contracting and project management elements is also part of the course.

Requirements:

Knowledge of accounting terms in the financial management of a construction company, investment strategy of a construction company, methods of investment planning and evaluation, the role of contractual relations and supply systems.

Introduction to the construction finance and management

Current trends in construction management / strategic management

Financial management in the context of the construction company management system

Capital investment in machinery and equipment, time value of money

Financial reporting according to IAS standards

Percentage method of recognizing sales and profit of construction projects

Percentage method - case study

Cash flow management of construction company and project

Case studies of financial management of large construction companies

Standard contracts in the construction industry

Standard contracts - FIDIC Red/Yellow Book

Project delivery systems - EPC/EPCM, PPP, ECI

Permanently profitable construction company
