Synopsis:

Basic problems of soil erosion process, its risks and negative effects. Basic principles of catchment management. Negative effects of soil erosion on individual parts of landscape and society. Methods of soil loss and sediment transport determination, design of soil erosion control measures. State tools and policies in soil conservation.

Requirements:

knowledge of basic GIS operation are an advantage, We recommend passing subject 143GIPU.

Study Objective:

The aim of study there is to prepare students to practical work in engineering companies and agencies to design soil erosion control measures, to quantify soil loss and sediment transport, and to support effective landscape management.
