Course is mainly oriented toward practical application of corporate construction management systems. It covers corporate strategy, corporate finance and budgeting, marketing and methods of business development, etc. Sustainable profitability of the construction business and the best practice at both - field and corporate level are explained.
Lectures are based on the real practice experience of all course's lecturers and various case studies are studied and solved.
Throughout the semester, all course participants play the Building Industry Game. In this online simulation of a realistic business environment with variable conditions and demand for construction work - developed and directly operated by the California Polytechnic State University - students act as contractors, managing their companies and projects they compete for.

Active participation in the online game and meeting the attendance requirement is required to receive course credit (zápočet). The awarding of the course credit is a condition for being allowed to take the exam (zkouška).
