Synopsis:

The student is acquainted with basic problems of particular clinical disciplines, with most important features of diseases and possibilities of their treatment. Emphasize is put on diseases principally contributing to the mortality in the Czech Republic and to those, in which non-pharmacological prevention is effective and feasible.

Credit:

For the credit requires 100% attendance at seminars (perhaps only the lack of medically substantiated and is perhaps the only one. Longer absence is dealt with individually with a field. Another condition is to elaborate essay on an assigned topic, including presentations during exercise, a presentation prepared in Power Point.

The granting of credit is to meet the final test, the test contains 30 questions, maximum score is 60, is required to meet more than 50% success rate.

Stamp of credit will be given to the intersection of job evaluation audience in seminars, presentations and tests. Rating F mark one of these components is the reason not to grant credit. He will be one of the criteria in the test.

examination:

The condition test is to log on credit.

The exam is oral. The student pulls one of the questions. Examiner during the test may ask any other question within the scope of compulsory literature and materials discussed in the lectures or during practical exercises (see mirror examination).

Note: The interval between regular and remedial or corrective exam tests must be at least seven days.

Syllabus of lectures:

Lectures:

Ophthalmology, most frequent eye diseases, manifestations, diagnostics, possibilities of treatment and prevention.

ORL: Most frequent diseases of the nose, ear, neck, manifestations, diagnostics, possibilities of treatment and prevention.

Surgery: Circulation system, respiratory system, most frequent possibilities of surgical treatment.

Surgery: Gastrointestinal system, urogenital system, most frequent possibilities of surgical treatment.

Gynaecology: Most frequent gynaecological inflammatory and cancer diseases, manifestations, diagnostics, possibilities of treatment and prevention.

Dermatology: Inflammatory and tumorous diseases of the skin, manifestations, diagnostics, possibilities of treatment and prevention.

Paediatrics: Most frequent diseases of the childhood, manifestations, diagnostics, possibilities of treatment and prevention.

Gerontology and geriatrics: Most frequent diseases of the senium, manifestations, diagnostics, possibilities of treatment and prevention.

Definition of the mental health and disease.

General psychiatry.

Syllabus of tutorials:

First week - Symptoms and syndromes I (coma, cyanosis, pain, dyspnoea, cough and expectoration, bleeding, fever, anorexia, nausea, vomiting, swelling)

Second Week - Selected diseases of respiratory system (tuberculosis, Ca lung, pneumonia, etiology, symptoms, types, disease detection, diagnosis)

Third Caring for the sick the elderly (gerontology as a separate discipline, pathophysiological changes in old age, disease traits, access to the patient in the elderly)

4th Week - Obesity as a disease

5th week - Comprehensive care for patients with diabetes mellitus

6th Week - Selected urinary system diseases (glomerulonephritis, lithiázy, acute and chronic renal failure)

7th Week - Damage to the body by physical disorders I (hyperthermia, hypothermia, shock damage to electrical, electromagnetic fields, drowning and near drowning, the effects of atmospheric pressure)

8th Week - Care of patients with communicable diseases, follow-up

9th Week - Fundamentals of gastroenterology (inflammatory and neoplastic diseases of the digestive tract, disorders of motility and resorption, the care of patients with kolonostomií)

10th Week - Imaging techniques (analysis of the various imaging techniques according to appropriate indications, expected benefits)

to master basic knowledge within the subject to the extent necessary for the performance of the profession in the branch Radiology Assistant.
