Synopsis:

The provision of integral theoretical and practical knowledge of the regional policy in the European Union and in the Czech Republic with emphasis of the conception role of state, regional and local authorities related to effective and balanced development of all regions.

Study Objective:

The aim of the course is to familiarize the students with general principles of regional development and regional studies, as a coherent approach to the problems of regional development. Significant attention is paid to the application of this approach within regional policies, which deal with problems arising from interregional differences.
