Synopsis:

Design solution of forming machine drives, automation equipment and technological workplaces. Elements of automation with regard to their possible connection to the forming machine system. Automated manufacturing systems for forming. Application of CAD/CAE systems, virtual prototyping in production machine design together with an introduction to methods and the use of Rapid prototyping. An overview of machine tool production in the Czech Republic, its development and other trends with regard to the long-term strategy in the field.
