- Synopsis:
-
Logistics is organization, planning and management of goods and information flow, development and purchasing, production and distribution of the final customer order to meet all market requirements with minimum costs and capital. In the process of material handling is a summary of operations, consisting mostly of loading, transporting, unloading and reloading, that is transport of material, work in progress, from technological manipulation, transport of completed production, their storage, weighing, packing, sorting, metering, measurement and handling of waste. The relatively minor component of the logistics system has gradually become the material handling and storage one of its most important components. For research, modeling and optimization of logistics systems, there are modern equipment, computer simulation tools, which deals this course. In practice we will mostly use software from Siemens company.
