- Synopsis:
-
The course provides a basic orientation in the field of artificial lighting. The teaching includes lighting technical quantities and related calculations. The theoretical principles of interior lighting and the design of lighting systems with applications for various types of buildings and operations are discussed. Students are introduced to an overview of light sources and luminaires, including their characteristics. Attention is also paid to the power supply, control, management, and maintenance of lighting systems and their energy consumption. Basic information on emergency lighting and outdoor lighting is also an integral part of the course. The course is supplemented by excursions. During the seminar students work with the DIALux evo program.
