Synopsis:

The goals of course is to collect advanced knowledge in laser technics.

Requirements:

Basic knowledge in electronics. Passing an exam or study of a couse „basic electronics“ or its equivalent and a course „Electronics 3“.

Syllabus of lectures:

1.HEXFET and IGBT transistors, amplifiers

2.laser pumping,power supply for discharge lamps

3.switching power supply PS 5012

4.mode locking,acoustooptical modulators

5.avalanche transistors,Marx generator,laser Q-switching,Pockels cells controlling

6.Peltier cells,thermoelements,pyrodetectors,peak detectors

7.piezoactuators,high voltage power supplies,nebulizers

8.diode lasers,pulse forming

9.stepper motors contolling,microcontrolling,piezoelectic motors

10.RLC circuits,z-pinch

11.lock-in-amplifier,liquid lenses,solar cells

12.sampling oscilloscope,generation of fast impulses

13.streak camera,microchannel plate
