The application of urban viewponts to selected metropoles, to their origins, impulses of past and future development, the relativisation of their distinctive characters, faces, archetypes, specificity and individual genius loci. Various approaches in influencing city development are presented, including application of urban theories, concepts, and the impact of conditions and contexts.

Students will receive basic information regarding urban specificities of selected metropoles, their architectonic distinctions and conceptual orientation. They will learn not only where, what, when and who, but also why and with what implications. They will recognise the laws governing the urban process, and their causal relationships. , and remitment urbanistic concept and their profitability.
