The course is focused on correct pronunciation, important morphological phenomena, prepositional phrases, and verb forms as well as on extending the student´s vocabulary for various social situations.
- Requirements:

competence at CEFR B2 level

phonetics, conversations, forms of pronouns, nouns, adjectives; numerals, dates, fractions, prepositions; vocabulary, grammar and style exercises.
Topics: the university and the faculty, teachers, student accommodation in Prague, mathematical symbols, Christmas in the Czech Republic, important rules for university students

The course is run as a series of seminars following the topics and scope of the syllabus mentioned above.
- Study Objective:

Knowledge:
Phonetics, morphology, syntax and lexis at the level appropriate to the course, particularly correct pronunciation, orthopraphy, declension of nouns, adjectives, and pronouns, conjugation of verbs, imperative, mathematical symbols.
Skills:
To express questions, wishes, and requests in everyday communication, use adequate language structures in communication on specific topics about the university, faculty, accommodation in Prague, daily routine, greetings, congratulations, agreement, disagreement; to read mathematical symbols and operations.
To qualify for admission to the higher level course, to obtain basic knowledge of technical language.
