Lectures include information about city organisms, about their categories and differences in spatial and functional organization. Also about results of development and renewal needs in ČR and abroad. Interest is also focused on methods of historical values protection. Seminary work is focused on application of theoretical knowledge to design processes of development and regeneration of zones.

To learn principles and regularities in cities' organism, to understand their spatial and functional structuring, their role in settlements and relation between cities and countryside. To be capable of a complex and independent development, regeneration and transformation of their parts. To prepare students for work in obligatory studio design project.
