- Synopsis:
-
Loads on water management structures. Design of structural elements subjected to tension, compression, bending, stability of cross-sections subjected to bending, torsion - with consideration of specifics of water structures. Combination of stresses in the cross-section. Basic types of closures used and their design. Vibration of steel structures and fatigue strength. Principles of design and structural design of movement mechanisms, valves, bearings, joints. Design of equipment of special structures - pipelines a nd tunnels of large dimensions and gradients, ship lifts, special accessory exuipments.
