Synopsis:

Traffic surveys - classification, types, traffic analysis, prospective intensities. Special traffic surveys - cyclists, pedestrians, parking, public transport, vehicle weighing. Basic ways of monitoring traffic flow. Basic characteristics of the movement of an individual vehicle. Equation of continuity, traffic flow density. Parameters of traffic fluency and their relationship to fuel consumption. Microscopic and macroscopic models of traffic flow. Monitoring of risk - conflict situations.

Requirements:

Submitting the processed issue within the prescribed deadline and to the prescribed extent.

Syllabus of lectures:

Traffic surveys - breakdown, types, traffic analysis, future flow rate.

Special traffic surveys - cyclists, pedestrians, parking, public transport, vehicle weighing.

Basic ways of monitoring traffic flow.

Basic characteristics of the movement of an individual vehicle.

Continuity equation, point current density.

Movement fluidity parameters and their relationship to gas consumption.

Microscopic and macroscopic models of traffic flow.

Monitoring risky - conflict situations.

Syllabus of tutorials:

The course has no exercise. Individual processing of relevant issues from the field of traffic engineering, including the execution and evaluation of traffic surveys
