The course focuses on the study of the influence of the environment on the properties and behaviour of building materials and structures.

The course focuses on the study of the influence of the environment on the properties and behaviour of building materials and structures. Thermal and moisture stresses on structures, the effect of elevated carbon dioxide concentrations, the effect of environmental pollution. Carbonation of concrete, corrosion of reinforcement. Frost cycles.
