Introduction to suspension theory, characteristics of solid and gas particles, settling velocity of solid particles, balance equations of suspended-sediment/gas transport, diffusion and gravitational theory of transport, statistical theories of transport, dimensional analysis and similitude, problems of homogeneous and heterogeneous suspensions during transport, vertical flow of solid and gas particles.
