Improvement of knowledge from the basic building physics course. Detailed analysis of boundary conditions for calculations, governing equations of heat and water vapor transfer (diffusion, convection), thermal transmittance of windows and curtain walling, CFD, ventilated double-skin constructions, energy performance of buildings in detail, thermal protection of historical buildings.

Attendance according to the instructions of the teacher, submission of tasks from seminar within the prescribed time and scope.

1. Boundary conditions for calculations, material properties, basic requirements.
2. Vapor and moisture transfer, convective-diffusion equation and its consequences for practice, CFD, double-skin ventilated constructions.
3. Thermal transmittance of windows and curtain walling.
4. Linear and point thermal; transmittance, theory and practical calculation.
5. Energy performance of buildings in detail, practical application of dynamic simulation with hourly step.
6. Hygro-thermal problems of unheated and heated historical buildings
