1. Basic methods of sheet metal forming. 2. The influence of production parameters on the tooling design. 3. Shearing tools. Bending tools. 4. Drawing tools. 5. Requirements for the design of progressive tools. 6. Standardization and normalization in tooling design. 7. Basic methods of bulk metal forming. 8. The influence of production parameters on the tooling design. 9.Tools for open-die forging. 10. Tools for closed-die forging, punching and trimming. 11. Tools for extrusion. 12. Choice of tool material for sheet and bulk metal forming processes. 13. Safety requirements in the die design for sheet and bulk metal forming processes.

Proposal of tooling design for given die stamping and for given closed die forging. Input of production requirements. Analysis of forming parameters. Draft of tooling assembly. Drawing of the given die. Evaluation of the tooling design.
