This subject gives students a detail review of technology used for instrumentation production.

1) The watch lathe, automatic Swiss type lathe

2) Statistical production of balls and the production and assembly of bearings

3) Production technology of teeth wheels

4) Production of precision planar surfaces

5) Production of spherical surfaces, three-phase optical technology, production of aspherical surfaces

6) Thin films technologies

7) Production of gratings and scales

8) Production and processing of glass

9) Preparation of single crystals

10) Production of springs and spring elements for instruments

11) Techniques surveying and production of holes

12) Special technologies for production instrument components - lasers, ultrasound techniques, EDM

13) Technology of gluing and production of composites

Syllabus of tutorials:

Work on the MN80 lathe and milling machine

Work in the watchmaking lathe

Preparation of thin films

Production of grids by holographic techniques

Glass processing

Production of lentils

Study Objective:

Practice of small parts production using micromachining, watchmaker lathe, thin layers steaming, holography technique, grid production and glass machining, optical fibers production, single crystal production, springs, tooth gearing.
