Synopsis:

Theory and methodology of technological designing, time and spatial structures of production systems. The aim of the course is to teach students with modern approaches and methodology of production systems designing with respect to their flexibility, productivity and production quality. Introduct students to the complex design of production systems within the supply chain. Students will be acquainted with modern methods of industrial engineering and lean manufacturing.

Requirements:

Knowledge based on previous technology seminars.

Syllabus of lectures:

1. Introduction to production systems design

2. Technological design, elements and functional bonds, decomposition of production systems

3. Analysis of input data for the production system design

4. Methods of predetermined times

5. MTM, REFA

6. Use of predefined times to increase productivity

7. Capacity calculations

8. Warehouses, manipulation with materials

9. Capacity planning

10. Production management, Supply chain management, SW

11. Warehouse automation, industry 4.0, VR in warehouses

12. Specialization

13. Lean Manufacturing, Industry 4.0

Syllabus of tutorials:

1. Introduction exercises, organization of teaching.

2. Entry, technological process of production, choice of semifinished product

3. Determination of production and non-production times (TA, TB, TC)

4. Capacity calculations

5. Ideal deployment to new layouts

6. Placement of production equipment into existing layout

7. Logistics of the production plant

8. Enterprise digitization - introduction to modeling

9. Plant Simulation - device deployment and material flow simulation

10. Plant Simulation - logistics

11. Plant Simulation - warehouses

12. Plant Simulation - project processing

13. Evaluation of semestral work, credit

Study Objective:

The course deals with the theory and engineering methods of a manufacturing design.
