Synopsis:

Application of heat and mass transfer in environmental engineering. Solution tools for tasks concerned with heat and moisture transfer.

Requirements:

Basics of fluid mechanics and heat transfer.

Syllabus of lectures:

Transport equations, boundary layer, heat conduction, convection and radiation, moisture transfer, basics of building physics, heat exchangers

Syllabus of tutorials:

Heat conduction and heat transfer through multilayer construction, natural and forced convection, heat radiation, moisture transfer, heat exchangers.

Study Objective:

Knowledge and skills in practical applications of heat-, mass- and momentum transfer in heating, ventilation and air-conditioning.
