Synopsis:

Properties of electromagnetic radiation. Modern spectroscopic techniques. Absorption spectroscopy, atomic fluorescence spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy.

Reflectometry and interferometry.

Requirements:

Active participation in lessons.

Syllabus of lectures:

Properties of electromagnetic radiation.

Overview of spectroscopic techniques. Basic Components of Spectroscopic Instruments: atomic absorption spectrometry, atomic fluorescence spectrometry, Raman spectrometry.

Interactions between the analyzed compounds and the electromagnetic radiation (refractometry, interferometry, etc.)

Study Objective:

The aim of the course is to provide students with knowledge of the spectroscopic techniques.
